The Sacking of America

America’s enemies do not need to invade. They’ve got Donald the Hun sacking America for them. Donald Trump’s actions, meant to feed his ego and enrich himself, his family, and cronies are bad enough. But even worse, for the benefit of the country's enemies, their plunder is meant to demoralize the nation and cripple it economically, militarily, and in every other way of which one can conceive.

The Looting of the Nation's Wealth

The Trump family is subverting federal power to make billions for themselves and their cronies. Their effort during every waking minute is directed at redistributing America’s wealth from your pocket and mine into Trump's personal coffer.

According to a January 2026 analysis by the Democrats on a House of Representatives' oversight committee, Trump’s illegal schemes have brought him and his “an estimated 2.25 billion in realized profits for Trump from foreign payments, corrupt oligarchs and others.” The analysis added that, when one factors in $600 million from foreign interests as well as digital assets, the total comes to as much as $9.7 billion.

Among the Trump regime's many illegal gambits:

Trump has directly or indirectly been selling pardons to the highest bidders. According to CBS News, a Trump-linked firm, Mo Strategies, is lobbying for pardons and its first client has already paid $500,000.

Donors to Trump’s White House ballroom project have obtained new or expanded federal contracts amounting to more than $50 billion during the past six months. According to Public Citizen, 14 of the 27 known corporate donors have had their government business grow. And most of these same companies have federal enforcement actions against them which have now been suspended. Coincidence? I think not.

As observed by Time, Trump’s Truth Social “has been a repository of market-moving statements.” And now, he is planning to sell access--specifically, special high-speed access to his posts that affect national security and financial markets. In other, plainer words: insider trading.

This special access comes at a subscription fee to Trump Media & Technology Group ranging from $60,000 to $100,000 per month. In addition, a CNN investigation found that Trump has promoted more than 20 companies on his Truth Social account just days after buying stock in those firms. In addition, he has sometimes then announced government actions that could benefit the companies he just invested in.”

On January 23, 2025, Trump signed an executive order labeled Strengthening American Leadership in Digital Financial Technology to promote and protect crypto companies.

Very convenient—for him.

According to the Associated Press, Trump signed that crypto executive order only a few days after he had launched a meme coin whose sales then generated some $320 million for him in just four months.

Meanwhile, the New York Times has reported that nearly a million investors lost a total of $3.8 billion on Trump’s crypto coin. Trump, on the other hand, won regardless of whether the price of his memecoin went up or down since he collected returns whenever anyone traded the tokens. And he used Truth Social to push his followers to do so.

Trump’s privately owned conglomerate, the Trump Organization, claims that his stock market holdings are controlled by investment advisers who do not give him advance notice of trades or get his input on decisions. To anyone who believes that, I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you. Don’t worry about whether or not I own it.

Trump’s sons act as his beard for self-dealing, and make out like bandits. Ten defense, space and software companies that Donald Trump Jr.’s firm is invested in have been awarded over $1.6 billion from federal contracts and grants in the first 500 days of Trump’s second term. Furthermore, the U.S. Air Force agreed to buy interceptor drones from Powerus, a company in which Eric and Donald Trump, Jr have investment and advisory roles. And after Donald Trump, Jr. joined 1789 Capital, the firm invested in Vulcan Elements, which then received a $620 million loan from the Pentagon’s Office of Strategic Capital.

All this constitutes only the tip of a very large iceberg, growing daily.

To permit Trump to indulge in his copious illegal activities unimpeded, his consiglieri, Todd Blanche, set up the Department of Justice’s Anti-Weaponization Fund—a $1.8 billion fund purportedly meant to support “Americans facing domestic political persecution”—aka Trump’s January 6 insurrectionists. Created as part of an out-of-court settlement in a lawsuit Trump filed against the IRS, it amounts to Trump suing himself while the American people foot the bill for the suit and also pay the penalty.  

But the suit's real purpose was embodied in the settlement’s addendum. It ended any active tax and/or business audits, and prohibited future such audits of Trump, his family, and his companies.

The intended lesson: if criminals control the government, they can get away with anything.

Fortunately, District Judge Kathleen Williams ruled that the lawsuit was filed in “bad faith,” called the executive branch suing itself “collusion,” and threw the settlement out.

Trump’s DOJ has, of course, appealed. No doubt Trump and his mouthpiece are laying odds that they ultimately can get the corrupt Supreme Court Six to back them.

The Desecration of Our Democratic Memorials and Symbols

To demoralize the nation, Trump has been illegally destroying property and symbols owned by the American people: demolishing the East Wing of the White House, rooting up and paving over the Rose Garden; and defiling the Reflecting Pool that fronts the Lincoln Memorial—not to mention his debasement of the Kennedy Center.

It is well known that Trump plastered his name on the face of the Kennedy Center, and that a court required him to remove it. But since the face of the building is covered with a tarp, we still have no proof that he has complied.

Far worse than that egotistical insult to this memorial institution, it has come to light that objects inside the center, contributed by countries around the world to honor President John F. Kennedy's memory, are being removed or sold off.  

In a recent Atlantic article, Josef Palermo, the Kennedy center’s first curator of visual arts, reported that Richard Grenell, the center’s president under Trump instructed him to “get rid of” the center’s permanent art collection “because we needed new art to adorn the building’s walls after its renovation…. If the donors of the works didn’t want to pay for their removal, [Grenell] said, we could put them up for auction or give them away.” 

Palermo added, “Among the priceless items that were taken down: beautiful handmade textiles from across the continent, a wooden sculpture donated by Ghana to represent Africans’ grief over President Kennedy’s assassination, and a pair of doors carved from 700-year-old wood depicting Yoruban village scenes.”

Furthermore, Palermo wrote, “It was understood among staffers that the new leaders’ plan to bring in donations was to emphasize the association of the center with President Trump. They put together a fundraiser for a preview of Les Misérables, where one could pay $2 million to sit in a box seat and attend a private reception with the president.”

To whom have gone the profits?

When Palermo organized an exhibition commemorating the anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks in the Israeli Lounge, featuring the paintings of an American Israeli artist, Grenell hit up the mostly Jewish audience for donations for Trump's purported renovations with the mob-like threat: “It certainly would be a shame if we lost this room to a corporation or an individual and it was no longer the [Israeli] lounge.”

And now the Trump regime is threatening to close the Kennedy Center down if his name is not on it, and tear it down entirely if Trump does not get his way on his garish notions of renovation. The claim that only Trump’s name on the building can save it constitutes open extortion.  

The Destruction of Our Military

In my view, the Trump/Pete Hegseth purge of competent military and intelligence leadership cannot be seen as anything but a deliberate effort to make the United States vulnerable to attack and incapable of defending itself.

But don’t take my word for it.

On August 31, Dan Driscoll, Secretary of the US Army, resigned, telling Trump that “Pete Hegseth was well on his way to destroying the US army." The Observer has reported: “The defence secretary’s firings of high-level generals, including the army chief of staff, and his repeated interference in the promotion process, had left a senior officer corps uncertain about its future and the rank and file concerned about who would lead them into combat.”

Because of Trump's various deployments, the army is facing a budget shortfall of $4 billion to $6 billion, and is cutting back training exercises across its force.

Chief of Naval Operations Daryl Caudle has warned Congress that the Navy could be out of cash in two months.

And the Air Force has lost numerous expensive planes which are difficult or impossible to replace.

Based on a Pentagon report, the esteemed retired astronaut and naval officer Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ), maintains that "it will take years to replenish the military’s supply of key munitions, like cruise missiles and interceptors, that have been fired with reckless abandon at Iranian targets.”

It is impossible to believe that the Trump regime's various assaults on our country are the result of incompetence rather than a deliberate, consolidated effort to plunder and destroy America from within. To loot anything that is not tied down—and anything that is tied down as well.

Though no one is willing to state it definitively, the circumstantial evidence points to Trump working for Vladimir Putin, and has indicated that for years. But whether the undermining of our nation's economics and ability to defend itself is based on Putin's marching orders or is Trump's personal revenge against America for rejecting him in the 2020 election--or both--Trump's actions clearly emanate from a desire to restructure the world to match his malignant and malevolent mind.

The one opportunity to reverse this sacking of America and save democracy is coming to us this November:

Throw all the Trump's Republican blackguards--each and every one of whom backs the Trump regime--out of the Congress.
